Iran’s
technology and scientific development has been expedited process in the recent
years, in such a way that our scholars, technologists and researchers have made
impressive achievements every day. The Emphases and supports of high ranking
officials, especially of the supreme spiritual leader, in this field caused
more encouragement and hope to young experts and technologist. Growth and
prosperity of national self-confidence and self-esteem in performing major
research and scientific activities in order to attain the independence and
self-sufficiency of our country and to greatly tackle the international
sanctions is inevitable.Undoubtedly, the role and position of science and
technology parks and incubators in developing knowledge-based products and
entrepreneurship is of strategic and decisive. Now with great dignity we should
announce that the Khorasan Science and Technology Park and its associated
Technology Incubators as the custodian of technology development in the east
region of country have obtained valuable findings and achievements which have
been more or less reflected on the national and local media.Fortunately,
Khorasan Science and Technology Park with providing economic and scientific
supports for more than 120 knowledge-based institutes and development of
incubators as well as active presence in the national and international
technology exhibitions, could progress in the way of its predetermined
missions.Launching Innovation, Creativity and Intellectual property center,
establishing and supporting the research and technology non-governmental
research and technology fund and communicating with other funds in the province
and across the country in order to help researchers and technologists are among
KSTP’s activities in recent month. Infrastructure and laboratories development,
quantitative and qualitative expansion of physical spaces, earning the highest
exclusive incomes amongst the STPs of country are some of the effective
measures during years 2009 and 2008. At the present time, according to the twenty-year
vision document, the KSTP’s second
five-year plan is in line in order to progress towards quantitative and
qualitative development of KSTP and associated technology incubators. At the
end, we should emphasize that these accomplishments are only possible under the
divine protection, empathy and efforts of all of our colleagues at the KSTP and
Khorasan Incubator Centers, local and national authorities’ assistance, high
ambition of knowledge-based institutes and aptitude and motivation of this land
youth. Finally, in scientific development and development itself in general, we
should focus on culture as a significant factor. If we neglect it or pay little
attention to, all the development programs will fail. So, recognizing the
relationship between culture and development is essential for research centers
and STPs and it should be considered in the technology and scientific
development programs.
